"Argonauts of Europe" is a project, which will involve the development and implementation of a mobility framework, and a course with teaching practice for foreign student teachers at eight teaching training institutes. Intercultural communication and the management of transnational educational projects, are the subjects of the course and school practice, supported by a web based learning environment. Students who complete all the tasks will receive a certificate, accredited at the home institutions according to the regulations in the ECTS. These activities and outputs will lead to a better preparation of future teachers for the management of transnational school projects in Europe.

Last but not least, an international profile for educational staff will be developed. This profile will focus on the competencies required for a teacher to be able to work in the field of international education. It will serve as the basis for developing an outline of an in-service training course.
The specific objectives of the project are:

• to train student teachers for the management of transnational school projects
• to set up a mobility framework for a teaching practice in project management at foreign schools as one of the connecting elements between schools and the Teacher Training Institutes(mobility framework),
• to promote contacts between professionals in the Teacher Training Institutes, schools and student teachers(i.e. Comenius 2.2 and Erasmus and local students) and to encourage mutual learning and support,
• to promote other European projects between schools and teacher training institutes, with the help of students as future European teachers.
