 Welcome at the Compass portal

The project Comparing and Assessing: Quality in Primary Education in Europe (COMPASS) is an Erasmus Intensive Programme. The general aim of the project is to provide a framework for exchanging primary student teachers’ perceptions on quality and understanding of the different values, strategies and curricula in order to build a learning community on primary education in Europe and to gain new perspectives concerning the implementation of quality as a subject in the different partner institutes and beyond. Specifically, student teachers for primary education will learn to interpret the influence of societal developments on education, to identify the roles of key players in education and to define indicators for a preliminary framework of quality.

The Intensive Programme contains a pre-IP stage, the IP-stage and a post-IP stage. In the pre-IP stage students will prepare presentations on quality issues in their country. In the IP stage, lectures, workshops, school visits and group sessions will be organised.  In the post-IP stage students will write their final reports or evaluate their learning experience in another way.

The COMPASS project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This website reflects the views only of the project consortium, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.
