The Worlds Apart platform can offer you support in every stage of your internationalisation project:
Phase 1: orientation
Connect to schools and get inspired by other projects worldwide through our online network of schools and international coordinators. Both universities and colleges, as well as secondary schools are connected.
Phase 2: preparation
Prepare your project with your colleagues abroad using our workspaces. A workspace consists of a forum and a file management system. With the extensive content management system, the project coordinator can manage courses, assignments, users and his online project information.
Phase 3 : execution
During the execution of the project, students can work together using the workspaces. They can exchange stories using the message board or they can publish their own weblog and photoalbum. Using the e-learning facilities they can follow your projects course wherever they are: they can do your assignments and download the necessary files. Teachers can easily track the students progress on their online digital portfolio.
Phase 4: evaluation
Let your project supporters (eg. European Commision) log in to your environment using a guest account, to evaluate your project.
Worlds Apart is an initiated by Respect Network and ELCS.
Respect Network
RESPECT is a Roundtable of Euregional Schools Partnerships in Education in Cooperation with Teacher training institutes. Euro-regional school partnerships with Teacher Training Institutes are becoming more important, especially in the joint training of future teachers. In several countries this process started some years ago. To expand this national cooperation model to the European level would be a great asset for the stimulation and the support of the internationalisation process in European education.

ELCS
ELCS is a small Dutch firm, specialized in offering consultancy and project management services for complex e-learning projects. The years of successful cooperation with the Respect Network is brought to a new level by the realisation of the Worlds Apart platform, which is considered an online testlab for new developments in e-learning by ELCS.
